Biography:
Kevin Maistros, born in Cleveland, Ohio, has found himself immersed within the music, film, fashion, and entertainment industry since the early age of 14. He began under the guidance of guild directors Nigel Dick and Mark Romanek. Starting as a freelance editor, he first found growth in his craft while shooting tour documentaries for various rock bands. Continuing to travel and study his craft, Maistros began to find work in music videos as a Cinematographer, and later on as a Producer. Over the years he has now become known for his unique artistry and innovative approach. In music videos, he has worked with such artists as Anberlin, Angels and Airwaves, The Audition, Copeland, Emery, The Forecast, Jupiter Sunrise, MAE, Make Do and Mend, The Movielife, Mute Math, My Chemical Romance, New Atlantic, This Providence, Puddle of Mudd, Saosin, Shadows Fall, Staind, Story of the Year, UnderOATH, Yesterday's Rising, and ZAO.

Influenced heavily by his family and their own history in entertainment, Kevin gained early access to this creative outlet. His grandmother, Lynette Maistros, a well-known theatrical director and actress, involved Kevin in various productions throughout his childhood. More significantly, his great-grandfather, Sherley Braithwaite, was the first art director in motion picture history, who worked with Edison and the Lumiere Brothers on early moving pictures through the development of talkies. It would be no surprise that Kevin's interests took to making films later on.

Now moving from the music video world into longer form narratives, he is currently exploring work with signatory companies to the Director's Guild of America, while maintaining practice through the development of his own short films and low budget features.
